Miscellany

I'm not a political pundit by nature; I'm happier talking about religion. But Abraham Joshua Heschel wrote compellingly that no religious man could legitimately ignore the Civil Rights movement and still call himself a man of God, so I guess there's an argument to be made that I should engage with the political world more often. So, for your weekly dash of progressive politics, check out President Bush: Why Can't He Stop Lying?

And while I'm at it, I'm trying to get people informed, and incensed, about the situation in Darfur, Sudan. Genocide is an ugly word, especially to people with living memory of the Shoah: if there's a chance this is a genocide, shouldn't we demand information, and then demand change?

On an unrelated note, want Hebrew stuff for your Palm? I'm especially intrigued by the animated matzah. (Alas, they don't support the Tungsten C. So much for downloading the parashiyot to read while I stand in line at the grocery store...)
