Live From NYC: A Republican!
I've posted before about Ray Agostini's Bush campaign table, in the heart of midtown Manhattan. Although I volunteered several weekends and met a great bunch of folks, I missed the Saturday when comedian Julie Goren staffed the table. She really captures the flavor of being a visible Bush supporter in New York.Ray is now in his winter home of Florida, and sends his regards:
Thanks, Judith. Good article. I'm still trying to orient myself and get connected here. I set up the table for the first time yesterday in Delray. Interestingly enough, I'd say half of my customers were Jewish. One (David Solomon) thought I was Jewish and invited me to his Zionists of America meeting! He's active in the Republican Party in Boynton and is going to be a poll watcher (badly needed down here to keep the Democrats from making trouble -- I'm going to try to be a poll watcher myself). I'm looking forward to setting up the table a few times this week.
