One more reason to be aggressive with terrorists
. One of the rationales for deposing Saddam was that WMDs and their delivery systems are getting to be so portable that the world can't afford to let nation-states build them unless they are vigilant about keeping terrorists from getting hold of them.Because of the internet, information is now just as portable. Read this, about a radical Islamis website that posts photos of people the sect believes should be killed. Robert Spencer of Jihadwatch says:
It's chilling to see photographs of people who probably have no idea that they're on the Web site. Hamas's Web site would post self-congratulatory accounts of their attacks on civilians, but barsomyat.com's users are telegraphiing their intended victims in advance. . . . You could imagine 15 years ago how hard it would be for people to get this much information on people who they believe should be killed.Mary has lots more, including this must-read by the great Nidra Poller, which traces recent Muslim ritual murders which are ignored by the press. The most recent, in New Jersey, was probably instigated by information exchange on the website discussed above.
I'm glad Internet Hagganah is hard at work, and I'm glad I live in a doorman building.
Ordinary physical intimidation has also gone international. Not content to threaten Iraqi voters in Iraq, jihadists have also attempted to deny them the right to vote in other countries, for example Morrocans in Holland threatening Kurds.
UPDATE: Link roundup on the New Jersey murders.
Across the Bay takes a long detailed look at the Western guilt permeating the reporting on the NJ murders.
UPDATE: Jewsweek does a story.
