The candidacy that wouldn't die

What. An. Asshole. Just when you think Kerry has hit bottom, he gets out the shovel.

Looks like he's been taking lessons from Jimmeh Carter in how to be an Elder Statesman. God I am so relieved that bombastic narcissistic SOB did not make it into the White House.

UPDATE: Heh. Kerry meets with troops:

Kerry also asked soldiers what he should tell Congress about the war in Iraq and was told that "the good work that they are doing is not getting reported in the United States."
Tell him, boys.

Apparently his itinerary includes a meeting with Allawi. Is he going to tell Allawi to his face that Allawi is a puppet? I would love to be a fly on the wall for that one.

(All links via a quickly enormous LGF comment thread.)

UPDATE: Captain Ed is equally outraged. What gets me is that a lot of mature adults who voted for Kerry will not have the slightest clue why his behavior is wrong - not just partisan politics, but wrong - and I can't imagine how to explain it to them.

I will be interested to hear if any of the milbloggers were there and what they say.

UPDATE: More.

UPDATE: Greyhawk is also disgusted.

UPDATE: Then Kerry went to Syria and met with Baby Assad. He's acting more like Carter every day, i.e. an internationally meddling busy-body. (I wonder if the Syrians are just humoring him or whether they think he actually has some kind of influence.)

UPDATE: This is a logical progression.
