About Kesher Talk

  • "Kesher" means "connection" in Hebrew. The banner image is the mosaic floor of a 6th c. synagogue in Jericho, showing a menorah flanked by a shofar and lulav; the inscription reads "Shalom Al Yisrael." (This synagogue was destroyed by Arab vandals a few years ago. The condition of the mosaic floor is unknown.)

You're so vain . . .

You probably think this bleg is about you. Well, if you write on Jewish topics, it is. You might not know that in addition to the er, ecumenical Carnival of the Vanities, there is now a weekly Jewish "Best of the Blogosphere" roundup called - what else? - Havel Havelim. (If you don't get the joke, go here.)

Biur Chametz is hosting this coming week, and Kesher Talk has it after that. According to Havel Havelim halacha, posting will occur on Sunday February 27. So send me your submissions, kids, by Wednesday, February 23. (And remember, you don't have to be Jewish to contribute to Havel Havelim. You just have to write about Jewish topics.)

This may be a dumb question, and maybe I just didn't notice, but did you include an address for submissions?
