Looking back on 2-0-5
JibJab sums up 2005. Well, the bad parts anyway. There is a Media Studies thesis waiting for some enterprising liberal arts undergrad who wants to annotate all the visual references.
Let's compare deaths in the Iraq war to other recent conflicts:
The headline says "civilian deaths," but Bush's estimate of casualties in Iraq since the 2003 invasion combines military and civilian deaths, so if only civilian deaths were counted (if there were a way to define them with any certainty), the bar for Iraq would be even lower.
