Charming Hostess is back in town

Charming Hostess is playing at Tonic this Sunday evening at 10 PM.
From their concert at the Jewish Heritage Museum in NYC last year:
A Ladino wedding song (dumbek by Eve Sicular)
From the setting of poems by Sem Mehmedinovic
(Both selections are on Sarajevo Blues.)
If you like a capella harmonizing, especially Eastern European style women's singing, check out the Hostesses.
If you like sophisticated art song, check out the Hostesses.
If you like art that is politically engaged without being humorless or dogmatic, check out the Hostesses.
If you like innovative explorations of ethnic music conventions, check out the Hostesses.
And if you can't make it to Tonic tomorrow night, get their CDs.
