About Kesher Talk

  • "Kesher" means "connection" in Hebrew. The banner image is the mosaic floor of a 6th c. synagogue in Jericho, showing a menorah flanked by a shofar and lulav; the inscription reads "Shalom Al Yisrael." (This synagogue was destroyed by Arab vandals a few years ago. The condition of the mosaic floor is unknown.)

UN Rally Kicks Off Sudan Freedom Walk

The Sudan Freedom Walk, covering 300 miles to call attention to the ongoing genocide and slavery of black African Sudanese, began with a rally near the UN in New York on Wednesday.

About 75 people attended the event, which starts in New York and concludes on April 5 in Washington, D.C. at the Capitol Building. More information about the walk, which will stop in 19 cities, can be found at www.sudanfreedomwalk.org.

The rally attracted leading figures of the campaign to maintain pressure on the UN and world governments to act to end the violence in the Sudan, which has resulted in 300,000 deaths in the last three years, according to rally organizers. Pamela at Atlas Shrugs provides more commentary and video.

trashy article. UN is derived by Israeli propagandas. Muslims respect jews n christians, how I was raised in Sudan, there is no thing such as hate. Media played documentaries show you what went wrong. Manute like many other rebels revoke gov't officials becoz of civil war. darfur had been lived by Israelis who got kicked from Germany wwii period, now it's america's interest for oil and uranium.
