Photoshopportunity: A New Assignment for the Red Army
The Soviet Union produced some slamming propaganda posters during World War II, or as the Russians call it, the Great Patriotic War. You can see a tiny selection at this site, along with other materials from 1941-1945 (let's not talk about 1939-1941, shall we?).
With a bit of retouching, some of the posters are directly applicable to today's challenges. The one below says, "Let's Free Europe From the Chains of Fascist Slavery!" Notice the swastika on the lock at the lower left.
Now, could a Russian-speaking Photoshop wizard update this to say, "Let's Free Europe From the Chains of Islamist Slavery!" by changing the title and substituting a crescent or perhaps an image from the Motoons for the swastika? Or perhaps the text can simply be rendered in English? Your choice. However handled, now's the time to see more art in service to Western values. Who knows -- perhaps this will be a harbinger for the day when the Red Army joins the alliance against the new fascists. The Russians have had their share of suffering at the fascists' hands.

Hmmm, of all of the posters there this one most reminded me of some of the Nazi ones. Strange choice.
