Fence hypocrisy updated
Back when the righteous old world was doing its best to make Israel feel guilty about building a barrier to snipers and suicide bombers (recently it's slowed down a bit as the critics have lost their illusions about the perpetrators), I received a chain-email with a link to a web-page laying out all the known fences/walls/barriers built by various nations desiring to control who could come into their domains. These were not considered worthy of horror and condemnation, like Israel's fence, because they weren't built for such trivial purposes as keeping out suicide bombers, and because they weren't built by Israel.
I haven't checked to see how many of these links still work, or if the status of any of these fences have changed, but here's the list.
The occasion for exhuming this topic is (courtesy of Jewlicious) the latest fence hypocrisy, starring an ageing rock star.
UPDATE: Like I said . . . .
