Aug. 1: Prayers from a Million Jewish Hearts
The Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Yona Metzger, has posted an appeal for Jews worldwide to join in prayer at 7 pm Israel time on Tuesday (noon in New York). A statement from Rabbi Metzger on the website www.tfila.org.il says,
These days, when we are “between the straits,” and in these desperate hours, our brothers Sons of Israel in the State of Israel face hard and murderous times from our enemies and those who are up to destroy us.While in the battle front our brave soldiers in the Israeli Defense Forces risk their lives in the air and sea to repel those who turn upon us, and defend our people and the cities in Israel.
I call upon our Jewish brothers in the Diaspora, wherever they are, to pray for the well-being of our soldiers and their success this Tuesday at 19:00 (Israel time), for the recovery of the wounded, and the return of the captives to the loving arms of their families all safe and sound.
The site also includes a prayer for IDF soldiers and a prayer for the well-being of kidnapped soldiers. People who sign up on the site will have their names printed and placed in the Kotel by Rabbi Metzger.
We've done the rallies -- now let's do the faith.

I am not Jewish, but I shall say a prayer for Israel,the IDF and Jews everywhere. :)
"Metzger, chief rabi of Israel"...hum so sefardic grand rabi Schlomo Amar doesnºt mean anything!

It is a big world. There is one Co-ordinated Universal Time.
BTW this might be of interest to military buffs. It is what I estimate the "incompetent" Israeli Government is really doing.

Because the Arabs have hated Jews ever since the year 629, and maybe even before, I would hope that Israel would use it's most esoteric weapon in its arsenal and overwhelming slaughter the brainless idiots into complete anihilation. Burn them out of their caves, bomb them out of their fox=holes, and don't submit to world pressure untill mission accomplished.
