Two protests this Monday in NYC
Rally to demand the release of Gilad Shalit.
When - Monday, July 10th at 12 noon, rain or shine.
Where - 820 Second Avenue (between 43rd and 44th Streets). (In front of the Syrian Mission)
If you have a lot of free time tomorrow, after that rally is done you can saunter on over to the west side, or hop the crosstown bus, for the protest in front of the NYTimes. Which doesn't start till 5 PM, so you have plenty of time to kill. Me, I have to go to the dentist.
Monday, July 10, 5 PM.
Across the street from the New York Times at 229 West 43rd Street.
The organizers have a sound permit and there will be speakers. Cosponsors include American Academic Alliance for Israel, American Coptic Union, Americans for a Safe Israel, U.S. Committee for a Free Lebanon, New York State Young Republican Clubs (state-party-affiliated), Free Republic, Protest Warriors, Caucus for America, and the Congress for Racial Equality.
Lots of great full-color images for posters, like the one below. You can download the JPEG and Kinko's will make it into a sign for you. Remember, no wooden sticks, just cardboard rolls to hold up the signs. Or you can hold it like a sandwich board.

I'll be there in spirit! Much success!
I wonder if the TImes will cover either protest. Since they are more than happy to cover any anti-American or anti-Bush protest, even when only three people show up, you'd think they would, right? Especially when it suits their lazy reporters to just look out the window for the story.
Maybe somebody should leak it to them.
