About Kesher Talk

  • "Kesher" means "connection" in Hebrew. The banner image is the mosaic floor of a 6th c. synagogue in Jericho, showing a menorah flanked by a shofar and lulav; the inscription reads "Shalom Al Yisrael." (This synagogue was destroyed by Arab vandals a few years ago. The condition of the mosaic floor is unknown.)

The State of Londonistan

Steve Emerson interviews Melanie Phillips on Londonistan.

UPDATE: And for an example of Londonistan in action, read Diana West's exposé of how the British police dealt with protesters against the Danish Cartoon Protest. In other words, the sane people objecting to signs which presented such peaceful messages as "Behead Those Who Insult Islam," "Slay Those Who Insult Islam," "Kill Those Who Insult Islam" and "Butcher Those Who Mock Islam," etc.

The police caved to the Islamists, lest they became "riled", and held off regular Britains protesting these signs, depriving the latter of freedom of speech.

Sad to say, Israel may be the only Western government in the world unafraid of the "dread power" of the "Muslim Street".

It's no wonder then that most of these other governments are always advising Israel not to be aggressive, to do nothing in her own defense.

How seriously can Israel take advice from a Britain which has such self-defeating, Gramscian policies in place?

Give me a break, please. British Capital turns Londonistan? No kidding. In Israel we use to say (under Arab influence, of course), "Bichiat Rabbak". Have you ever visited Israel? The jewish state is struggling with demography, and even today, the majority of deliveries in Soroka Hospital, biggest medical center in the Negev, are Arabs', or in other words: the Negev turns to be Arab. And this is only one side of the equation. On the other side, Israel ignores crimes, offenses, violation of the Arab mafia. Cars are stolen, in an astonishing scales, by Arabs - and police does nothing. Further more, Israel brought hundreds of thousands non-Jews from Russia and Ethiopia, to balance the demography. But it led to a greater tension.

Judith,
the Newsnight video on which the report is based is accessible here, if you haven't already seen it:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/4690034.stm

The behaviour of the police is on full diplay here. And Chaudhary, the insufferable supremacist that he is, knew exactly what audience he was playing to. It's quite telling in itself that none of the other Muslim participants were able to refute his views from a religious viewpoint.

Just FYI, it's not my post. The author is posted on the blue line under the post.

Sorry, Alcibiades. My mistake for not paying more attention.

Hard to say whether to pity ordinary Britons more for the gutless dhimmitude or for the routine tyranny of their social democratic government.

It's not hard to grasp what the counter-protestors felt, seeing the vile placards. One wonders what the cops thought, having to defend that viciousness.

No biggie, Adil.

Thanks for the link to the video by the way.

I enjoyed your article on Enough Said.

A friend of mine was just telling me that Said has so taken over the academic establishment, that his anti-Israel essays are now regularly included in textbooks on basic composition.
