Two pro-Israel rallies in NYC - July 16-17
A demonstration against Syria and Iran and a Memorial Service for those murdered in Israel. (Sponsored by CJC-Amcha.)
Sunday, July 16, 2006 at 11:00 am.
Meet at the Syrian Mission to the UN, 820 Second Ave. (between 43rd and 44th St.) for the demonstration. The group will then walk to the Israeli Mission, 800 2nd Ave, for a memorial service.

Rally against terror and in solidarity with the government and people of Israel. Demand the release of Gilad Shalit, Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev. (Sponsored by the President's Conference, JCRC, and UJA-Federation.)
Monday, July 17th, at noon.
Across from the UN at 1st Ave. and 42nd Street, New York, NY.
Rain or shine.
Speakers include: Elie Weisel, Sens. Hilary Rodham Clinton and Frank Lautenberg, Israeli UN Ambassador Dan Gillerman, and others.
Below is a Hebrew prayer for the redemption of captives, often sung to this stirring melody. (The MP3 is from Rav Landau at 613.org.)
Acheinu kol beit yisrael, ha'netunim b'tzara uv'shivya, ha'omdim beyn bayam uvein bayabasha. Ha'Makom yirachem aleyhem v'yotziaym mitzara lirvacha, u'meafela l'orah umishibud lig'ulah, hashta ba'agala uvizman kariv.
If any of our brethren of the house of Israel, who are delivered into distress and captivity, whether they are on sea or dry land--may Hashem have mercy on them and remove them from distress to relief, from darkness to light, from subjugation to redemption, now, speedily, and in our days.
UPDATE: From the Chief Sephardic Rabbi of Israel, a prayer for the release of the captive soldiers.

They really ought to get speakers who are willing to provide Israel more than lip service. To Her Holiness HRC and Lautenberg this nothing more than a photo op and fund raiser...
Even kittens open their eyes eventually, when will American Jews? The conservatives in America are the ones who are fighting the good fight.
God bless the innocents who may be harmed in the latest action, Jews, Muslims, Druze, et al. I hope the Lebanese govt can take advantage of a weakend HB and take their country back. There are many Lebanese who would like peace as much as Israel, I just think they're too weak to take on HB/Syria/Iran by themselves...

It is so painful to follow Israeli blogs these days, but they are suffering more, in the bomb shelters there, in Hajfa and Tiveria.
It's the fault of people like mrs Clinton and their appeasement policy.
As much as I want to demonstrate my solidarity with Israelis, I'd rather go and break windows @ Syrian and Iranian missions than associate myself with those who caused current situation in the first place.
That TV screen, Hillary hugging Mrs Arafat, is in my mind's memory.

They like to kill you, terrorize you, and shoot you in the back. But when you point a gun at them, they say they are being abused. When we love someone who died, we don’t parade them in the streets and show the big hole and bloods on their body to the media, instead we hide their ruined bodies and show them in pictures as alive. They like to destroy and terrorize countries, and do barbaric acts to us (”beheading” anyone?). But these barbarians whine like pigs when you slap their wrists. Hello Muslim!
