Attention, Dreydl Collectors! Martha Stewart Wants YOU
It's never too late to think about the holidays. Martha Stewart is already focusing her eagle vision on the distant shores of the year and is looking into dreydls for a possible holiday show on the topic. Elie Haller, associate producer for "Martha," wants to hear from people with dreydl collections.
But wait, there's more! As Elie wrote to me via a Jewish email list:
if there is someone out there with another odd collection or we are looking for "regional chefs" (someone in a "hometown" who is knows for their special dish, or a bed and breakfast know for something special) I am open to that as well. Martha always likes to have fun and interesting people who are educated in their craft to teach her.
I sense that KT's global readership must include members of the fast-paced underworld of hyper-competitive dreydl collectors, folks who relentlessly dig and battle for the finest in classic and post-modern dreydl design. So if that's you, contact Elie at:

The best examples of classic and post modern, not to mention art deco, rococo, gothic, victorian, renassance, pneumatic, and hydraulic style dredyls can be seen in heart-stopping competition during the Dredyl World Championships. The Dredyl World Championship participants are are also hyper-competitive in battle for the fame and glory of victory. Because of the high level of skill needed to compete at spining on the international stage, it is no coincidence that the best performances invariably come from journalists, politicians, and UN officials.
