More Photo Fraud

I expect everyone sentient that reads blogs for political news now knows about the photoshopping photo fraud Charles Johnson uncovered, put out by Adnan Hajj, photo stringer at Al Reuters.
Here are two more examples: the first, at EUReferendum also involving Adnan Hajj, fools with the plumes of missile released from a fighter jet; the second involves the same women, days apart, lamenting her lost house, in what looks to be a staged photo op in Hezbollah territory in South Beirut.
From Judith: The Freepers were having fun with this concept:

This one is a veritable grab-bag of bloggy photoshopping tropes . . . .

. . . . including an old favorite:

UPDATE: One more . . . .

The Jerusalem Post says Qana may have been totally staged.
It is also a story about bloggers.
BTW we may know where the dead bodies came from. See the A.J. Strata link at the above location
============================
Or we may not know. Here is a different view of the staging.

The Hizbollah story of Qana is unraveling further.
A French language Lebanese publication, citing an unnamed source in Hezbollah, has claimed that the organization placed a rocket launcher on the roof of the notorious building in Qana to provoke an Israeli attack and brought invalid children inside to serve as victims and blacken Israel's name.
The wheels are coming off.

To help clear some of the confusion regarding the reports from Qana, here is a photo I found of the "3-4 Story Apartment Block"
Looks like a half finished building site of single family house to me, but I am sure that nobody would try to blow something like that out of proportion - one can always rely on the press for their unbiased and truthful reports!

That political cartoon is so awful it makes me want to puke on the person that drew it.
Now, first of all, let me start by making vague pleas to my lack of partisanship that are sure to leave you all unconvinced, but I still argue with my European friends on Israel's side "Yes, they're [insert whatever interpretation of Israel's current actions you have here], but what would you do in their situation? Roll over?"
But this? THIS? This is one guy that made some smoke darker. And to turn it into an issue is sickening. It's a distraction from the real issues of this war, which are the innocent civilians killed (on both sides, mind you) and the appropriate response by a nation to a terrorist organization. I'm not saying that there IS one, I'm saying that we should be discussing whether or not there is one, and, if so, what that is, rather than spending time attacking goddamn photographers for slightly embellishing a picture. Personally, I think this whole thing is such a waste of time and energy you might as well devote a post/photoshop parade to Mel Gibson's latest hullabaloo. For the love of God/Allah/G--, let's focus on the real issues.

From one hawk to another:
"Where you used to soar with eagles you now scavenge the earth like turkeys."
You Israeis have morphed into some paranoid warmongers, in a way reminiscent of our Right-wing KKK friends. And the massive world response against your joint venture with the Bush Administration just set a very different future for you than you had hoped for. Where many previously supported and respected Israeli nationalism, you're now the subject of disgust at your misuse of the true ideals in a Democracy.
We strip you of being called a "Democracy"
We strip you of any future favoritism
And, most importantly, we strip you of our trust.

Some Expat American, the reference is to the story at Qana, which appears to have used the manipulated bodies of children in order to promote a narrative that the events that occurred on the ground were much worse than what occurred. Read this for more info on it.
Since Adnan Hajii was a key reporter in both events, and since he has been shown to be manipulating more of his photos, and since Hizbollah is a pro at disseminating info to manipulate reporters to air their narrative of events, even when it diverges from the truth, this latest scandal merely strengthened doubts already in place. The cartoonists merely spliced aspects of both situations into their cartoon.

Ex-pat American seems to be missing the point here. If the Western media is going to rely on Arab "freelancers" to provide them with photos and news they need to check that those "freelancers" aren't peddlin g anti-Israeli propaganda. How many other photos did this guy take that were faked to make Israel look bad ? How many MSM outlets have used faked, staged or doctored photos that are nothing more than Hezb'allah propaganda ? The part played by the media in any war is important therefore IT IS A BIG DEAL that much of the Western Media seem to be willing dupes for the Goebbals-like manipulation of news events by Hezb'allah sympathesisers.
Hazmaq is either a disgruntled islamist or a crazed left-wing student..his comments are beyond parody.
Great site by the way, I intend to make it regular reading.

Hazmaq: I was on a French subway car this evening and lots of French people and I were laughing about the picture of Beirut with the extra plumes of smoke. Most of the educated world, except the far left if you can call them educated, completely agrees that Hezbollah needed to be neutralized before Israel takes care of Iran.
Leftists have this thing about "the whole world hates you now"...which is not what you are seeing even in the Arab world where people are going about their lives and only the lower classes are cheering for Hezbollah...and then you have the 80% of Iranians who hate their regime and can't wait until it is overthrown.

hazmaq- "our Right-wing KKK friends" have the same attitudes towards Israel that you do. These 'right wingers' also hate the Bush administration, and, not coincidentally, are great fans of Cindy Sheehan.
So, when you say "We strip you of any future favoritism", which 'we' are you referring to?

The photo of that bunny with a pan-cake is just hillarious in this situation. That's exactly what i think. The conflict is interesting like a game, but i can't be bothered about who wins. Both parties of conflict are facist. So thank you jews and arabs for providing me with interesting news bulletins :)

You Israelis' need to just go to Iran and fuck them up real good. Go get the loud mouth motherfucker leader and then get the clerics and if the rest of the mudhens don't get it then fucking nuke the cocksuckers. Come on, get a grip, they are never gonna let you be so go get em. Iran is the problem not Syria or Lebanon. Don't fuck with these guys, kick their ass so they'll never fuck with you again.
