Oh, Those Lamonties: Inevitable KKK Reference

Joe Lieberman continues to fail to capitalize on the fresh curiosity about his independent Senate run with his woefully bare www.joe2006.com website. Say it ain't so, Joe!

However, the action over at www.nedlamont.com provides plenty of amusement, especially the blog. Just as Kesher Talk predicted, the loose cannons continue to blast away, unintentionally leaving burn marks on the candidate who can't control his Red Guards. Today's example from the blog is this witty snippet of analysis:

I assume you are a member of the KKK, as with the rest of the Republican party.

Actually, the writer must be confusing somebody on the blog with revered Democratic senator Robert Byrd, who really was a member of the Invisible Empire.

In fairness to Lamont, the website does have disclaimers that dissociate blogrolls and postings from the campaign and lay down basic rules of conduct. The first rule is "treat each other with respect and refrain from cursing. Name calling and foul language doesn’t accomplish anything."

Except when you call somebody a GOP Grand Exalted Cyclops -- now that's kyooooooool.

Judith: Head over to FireDogLake. They're erecting a shrine to Robert Byrd now that he endorses Lamont.

Sen. Byrd is facing a well-funded, hand-picked by Karl Rove, multi-millionaire GOP opponent in this fall’s election. It is a big deal that he publicly stood up for Ned Lamont, and I would appreciate it if everyone would consider sending him a thank you.
