Through the eyes of a UN peacekeeping specialist
This post drew a response from someone claiming to be "a logistics specialist with the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations (UNDPKO)." The grasp of reality shown in his comment leads me to believe he is telling the truth. It is an unvarnished glimpse into the worldview of a UN peacekeeping staffer.
Ben hoisted him by his own . . . . er, addressed his points very thoughtfully in the next comment, but didn't try to tackle everything, for example, the fact that the guy still thinks there was a "Jenin massacre." So if you want to clear up any loose ends, just be as friendly about it as Ben, okay? I will delete anything abusive. The UN staffer is being polite to us, we should return the favor.
Scroll down to long comment, it's about #10 under this post.

There's no way that's a UN ambulance. All UN ambulances are covered with the three protective emblems of the Geneva Conventions (red cross, crescent and crystal)
If he is so certain on things UN how come he does not know that at the time of the Gaza Ambulance raid the Swiss and their Red Cross had not yet permitted Israel to join in the fun of playing with crosses, crystals and crescents?
