"My Name is Rachel Corrie": a few more facts
Previous posts about the play "My Name is Rachel Corrie", just opened in NYC, here, here, and here.

Corrie's parents travelled to the Palestinian Territories to meet with Yassir Arafat, who presented them with a portrait of her daughter (for helping his cause, I assume):

My co-blogger wrote in June:
a friend of mine has a daughter at Evergreen State College, which would have been the alma mater of Rachel Corrie had she, ahem... My friend's daughter tells him that everytime a Jewish student enters the school, there is an intense effort to propagandize that student to the ISM/Palestinian cause, citing Rachel Corrie. Now my friend's daughter spent the year before college at a program in Israel, so she is not ignorant and not so easy to "get". But, he tell me, she became visibly upset when recounting the propaganda efforts deployed to recruit her.
