Vox Populi, Texas Style

To get the raw pulse of what people are thinking, I've discovered the discussion boards of the Houston Chronicle. The flames of rage were practically leaping out of my computer monitor when I scanned the section on "Immigration and the Border." The debate rages back and forth, with some posts that don't quite fit into ideological categories, such as this one from "Area51:"

Doesn't anyone realize that the real ILLEGAL ALIENS are hiding in underground bases in such places as Dulce, New Mexico and other Top Secret underground bases around the world !!! What's ironic is that our own Executive Branch welcomed them there with open arms in the middle of the 20th Century. The Executive Branch, Military, CIA and other government agencies made a treaty with the Aliens to allow them to abduct American Citizens for their own experiments in exchange for their Super Advanced Technology.

The Chronicle is on to something with discussion boards as a way to keep readers involved.

Dulce is the tribal capital of the Jicarilla Apaches.

This dude's been reading too many comic books.

[VW comment: Who am I to question somebody from MIT? Thanks for the comment.}

This all comes from the secret records of Pat Buchanan. In them, he recalls a childhood nightmare which has the last word he hears as, "Geronimo."
