Via Pajamas . . . . the geekiest film ever. The Erik Spiekermann clip is a riot. (Think Sprockets.)
I studied graphic design in my first round of art school, and made a modest living as a calligrapher in the heyday of the calligraphy fad in the late 1970s. I went back to school for industrial design in the early 80s when Massimo Vignelli was God. I worked in graphic production for years. I used to know everything about how to manage huge type libraries on Macintosh networks. (By the time OSX came out I had moved out of that field and I never upgraded my copy of Suitcase.)
So for me this movie is like old home week. But your mileage may vary.

I'm watching this as I design a logo for a sushi bar (not Helvetica, Century Gothic)
When I used to go to meetings with designers ('creatives') I had to wear black or they wouldn't take me seriously. Sprockets lives.
