Bibi on Bill Maher
(Via Omri Ceren) As a result of this video and the last one I posted, I understand that Bill Maher exists to be a foil for serious people. As a defender of his said on some blog, he does invite controversial guests and lets them talk. I bet Binyamin Netanyahu won a few more over to Israel's point of view after this appearance.

Neyanyhau as leader of the Likud and presumably, Neo-Con One, speaks with perfect truth and clarity and is very refreshing.
We need Rudy and Bibi elected in 2008.

Yes, Bibi's remarks, logic, etc. are unassailably reasonable and should be persuasive, yet the audience applause is tepid at best. I'm confident that a large number in the audience would have hooted and whistled up a storm for a Bush-basher or an "apartheid wall" propagandist. NO BLOOD FOR OIL! All that bumper-sticker philosophy is easier and just MORE FUN than the calm rationality of Bibi, Hugh Hewitt, or Victor Davis Hanson. That is why Israel-delegitimizing propagandists for Hamas, etc. have so much success with our academic & media "elite" -- protesting is more fun than being a responsible grown-up.
