Slowly people start arriving (not many) And the presenters get way too excited. They rush to put out 7 more chairs…very odd… but, okay.... Then it's start time. (We actually go on-time.) But, we're getting a re-cap of the who-o-le week.…retreads…fillers, I think... they're hoping for more people to show-up. So WE have to sit through the apartheid treadmill. I drift until we get our first speaker.

Again, these accents are a challenge. He’s Lebanese, I think. Tonight we’re listening to him recount all the killings; the MURDERS that Israel is responsible for in Lebanon. This young-man’s life has been destroyed by the nefarious goings-on that Israel has perpetrated against Lebanon. (I desperately wanted to end this charade as I have Lebanese Christian friends who support Israel 100%. They are desperate to see an end to the Hezbollah terror that is destroying their country). But, it’s too early in the speech to lose it, so…I sit. Then, in comes 7 (at least) of OUR crowd: The David Project and Stand With Us. They slowly walk in and fill the REST of the chairs. Who knew the remaining chairs would be filled by our counter-pamphleteers.

Okay, Mr. Lebanon finishes and now we get a woman speaker. She is a co-speaker with the moderator. A "Charlotte (Very Marxist) Kates-type"- an Arab with a slight accent. [ 'Where is Charlotte?", BTW... We haven't seen her since Monday evening's event.] Anyway, this speaker I can understand and it's party-line all-the-way. All the same stuff we’ve heard night after night: Israel bad; Israel apartheid-state; Palestinians good…Then tonight she shows us charts...demographics: 1870 to 1948. We get numbers showing who has a right to live in Palestine: Arabs and Christians in large numbers living historically in the Holy land vs these much smaller numbers that represent: The Jews.
Maybe they can accept a smattering of Jews who are Sephardic, but these European Jews…do NOT have a claim to this land.

Then (once the "Revisionist History night # 6 "is over) our first question comes from a lovely middle-aged woman (I believe she was Jewish) She was so vulnerable and so saddened by the offensive report we had just heard. Naively she repeated over and over "But what about, what about, what about…" mentioning the real facts of the Jews and the region. Our unrepentent revisionist is always calm. She knows we’re in the room ….I’ve seen her reading the David Project pamphlet earlier before she spoke. But, this is their venue, so she slyly moves on from this woman’s plea and agrees to take a question from a David Project Rep. We always ask good questions but the answers are, "Well…if you choose to believe these things as fact, that's your choice", and then the long-winded repetition of the propaganda goes on!

Next up we get hit with a diatribe. They allow an avowed French-Marxist to take the floor. I had seen her outside handing Workers Party Newspapers to the students going into the main hall in Judson Church for a concert event. She’s in her 60’s. (tall, thin and pissy) It doesn’t matter that she's not asking a question as it serves to eat up time and shut us down. Finally,mercifully, even the moderator wanted her to sit down.

Then I got to ask a question. I repeat I understand she has assured us this is not an attack against the Jews; the complaint is with Israel. So...why do we see a chart that denies the fact that the Jews were in Palestine first. To my surprise… the room erupted with applause!! (It seems there are more of us in the room than I think any of us knew.) I finished with why does she deny the Jewish diaspora and that the Jews just wanted to come HOME.

You know I didn’t really get an answer. More looping and twisting and then the male moderator decides to acknowledge (to the ‘curious’) what that spontaneous applause was all about. He acknowleges there is a well-organized contingent in the room who has been coming out all week in opposition the the Anti-Israel Apartheid Week. He laughingly points out that they've been reading our blogs and think it's funny that we say ‘let’s meet a starbucks’ beforehand. Wow... I guess they embarrassed us! The End.

They quickly passed the bucket (it was the Judson Church plastic bucket tonight), but somehow it was being passed only to those on their side. They were intentionally skipping us so that bucket went through the room fast.

Amazingly, as we left, the French Marxist (shriveled as a prune) asked us to BUY one of their Workers Party papers. One of our females couldn’t help herself, she burst with laughter as we exited and said “You’ve got to be kidding!”

What a relief to hit the crisp cold night-air after that stifling evening of hateful propaganda.
