Human Interest Stories with an Islamic Twist
Can you renounce Islam in Malaysia (where it is illegal) if the hospital sent you home at birth with the wrong family?
And here's something novel - if the story reflects accuracy, a Jewish school in Birmingham, UK, that is attended by a majority of Muslims, where Hebrew is taught and Jewish history and everyone gets along and no one complains - I gather because it is an excellent school and gives the kids a better hope of getting into Oxbridge.

BTW you have an HTML problem with your links. irritating rather than insuperable.
I'd heard of the Birmingham school before. One of the things that gives me hope for multiculturalism in the UK despite the pessimism of Melanie Phillips et al. And if it's just for mercenary get-me-into-Oxbridge-now reasons, fine: whatever gets the job done. If appealing to their self-interest is the best way to get Jews and Muslims to tolerate each other (and why wouldn't it be? they're human, after all) then bring it on.

Thanks for the HTML alert, Rob.
Self-interest is usually a reliable lever, but it breaks down when people are so self-destructive that their idea of self-interest is blowing themselves up. These parents are sane and have healthy self-interests, so it works.
