I don't think it will be hard for them. He buys it then donates money he makes to the left.

You do realise that to real (that is, European) "lefties" both the Republican and the Democratic parties are off the dial to the right-hand end? So why would we be surprised at a right-wing billionaire feathering his nest with stock from a bunch of other right-wing billionaires?
Your trouble is, you think America has lefties. It never has, and probably never will. And that's America's trouble.
