The quagmire of the UN is a sad comentary on the Human spirit.

Such a hopeful, optimistic idea, turned into a mockery of itself because most of the world is ruled by self interested thugs, thus, the UN is more of an organized crime syndicate than a world government.

If the world consisted solely of those nations that raise funds for UNICEF, the UN would have a chance.

Way back when Ben Gurion referred to the UN as UMSchmoom he had already diagnosed the type of organisation he had to deal with.

My sound is on the fritz so I am sadly bereft of Hille Neuer's pearls of wisdom. However, I would lve to know whether, like the armband-wearers at LGF or your own good selves, he wastes time laying about a UN body which was replaced by the Human Rights Council (at the insistence, among others, of the USA) last June.

This IS the new UN body and they went from bad to worse. According to Winki:
