"See? It's just a bicycle!"
Kesher Talk co-blogger Asher, responding to last week's San Francisco bike wilding:
Yet another paradigmatic detail: In the hands of dedicated thugs, even the most seemingly harmless, common objects (baby bottles, bicycles, ideas) can be turned into dangerous weapons. But as soon as defensive measures are taken (or even contemplated), an air of wounded innocence is assumed and the object magically reverts to its innocuous state:
"See? It's just a bicycle!"
Emotional manipulation is a weapon too.
Bob adds:
Nothing that a well place ruler between the spokes couldn't cure.
Sounds like a good rationale for the "Rolling Thunder" folks to head out west.
"Time for some serious head-adjustments, nancy boys."
Tom:
The first time I saw Critical Mass was just before the RNC convention here in NYC. One of my companions playfully hypothesized the possibilities of:
1: Running a rope across the street (clothesline)
2: Throwing fire crackers or shock grenades amongst the bikes
The desired end result of both 1 and 2 causing a huge pile-up of bikes.

Burlington Township High School should have run its terrorism simulation exercise using the scenario of insane cyclists.
