About Kesher Talk

  • "Kesher" means "connection" in Hebrew. The banner image is the mosaic floor of a 6th c. synagogue in Jericho, showing a menorah flanked by a shofar and lulav; the inscription reads "Shalom Al Yisrael." (This synagogue was destroyed by Arab vandals a few years ago. The condition of the mosaic floor is unknown.)

Still You Fight for Me

Via Hot Air. Not very shabbasdik but way inspiring. Remember "Democracy Whiskey Sexy"? It's been a long time between heart-felt indie pro-Iraq War rock'n'roll songs. Bruce Springsteen - gritty champion of the working man - should have written this one, but he jumped on the Hollywood liberal bandwagon without stopping to think.

Allahpundit references the Aussie country approach to this topic, from Digger poster girl Beccy Cole, so let's rerun that one:

I like the rock song better because country music tends to be patriotic and comfortable with military culture anyway; pro-war rock messes with your head more.
