Kinky Jews Film Night in B'klyn: Passion Under the D Train

Those rascals at Kinky Jews are having a gala double feature on Sunday in Brooklyn, as two classics of Jewish cinematic erotica (the only ones?) unspool: are you ready for Assraelis and Yiddish Erotica?

Alas, I won't be able to attend the event, which starts at 6:30 at the Grand Space in the Prospect Heights section of the borough of homes and churches. Non-members of the group have to contact Kinky Jews to arrange to attend, and you can get the details on the website.

So, what are these two fine pieces of entertainment all about? Curious, aren't you?

According to the Kinky Jews site,

Assraelis (2007): Indulge in cosmopolitan Israel's bold, new sexuality as captured by Israel's finest cast and crew. The result of their hard work is a surreal nocturnal romp through the landscape of the one of the most beautiful and captivating places on Earth.

Yiddish Erotica Vol. 1 (1987): Oy vey! You'll find lots to like within this carnal compilation, which brings together some of the hottest sex scenes from Essex videos during the mid-80's. And while it's called 'Yiddish Erotica,' most of the Jewish-themed jokes are pretty much restricted to the box cover (boo!). Once you actually pop this one in the DVD player, though, it's a straight-forward collection of one-on-one scenes featuring some of the tastiest tarts of the time.

I'd say Assraelis sounds more promising. I'll have to recommend it for the next Fairfield County Jewish Film Festival.
