Of course they both sound like a couple of rich private school boys in a playground but I think Buckley outing Vidal was fair dues if your going to call some one a Nazi in public.
Interestingly, a conservative calling a leftist a anti-gay slur on TV today would get him fired and stigmatized for life however it is very common for leftists to call conservatives Nazis.
