Pardon me while I geek out.
OMG. The creator of Quicksilver comes out of the shadows.
He's American.
He's totally cute.
He works for Google.
I thought he was a misanthropic obese aging code geek with stringy hair who lives in Germany. I'm not sure why I thought that, but I've hovered around the Quicksilver forums occasionally (because that's the only way to find out how the damn thing works), and that's what I thought. On the internet no one knows you're a dog.
I am such a fan of this guy. The fact that he's also a cute young guy as well as a visionary genius is almost unbearable.
Near the end of the presentation he connects how Quicksilver works to where Google is going. So I can see what they are paying him for.
