$900M for Gaza? Great! How about $900M for Charles Manson?
President Obama is doing the right thing by allocating $900 million for rebuilding Gaza, still under the wise leadership of Hamas. This is a humane, progressive approach that puts resources where they they will win the U.S. friends and admiration.
Since the taxpayers are extending the hand of friendship to Gaza/Hamas, I suggest that the administration keep up the momentum by providing $900 million to the far-sighted leader of a group that used bold tactics in pursuit of an anti-racist, anti-colonialist agenda -- Charles Manson. Hey, I bet Bill Ayers is down with that.
I see clear intellectual and tactical links between the Manson Family and Hamas. Both spoke truth to power, one saying "Kill the Pigs" and the other "Kill the Jews." Both Charles Manson and the Hamas leadership stand proudly in favor of their heritage of action, their ability to inspire reverence and respect among vanguard groups that refuse to buy in to Western standards of political discourse and civil and instead opt for more forceful methods of achieving social justice.
Charles Manson and Hamas and their followers are all victims of oppressive political systems, of course. The $900 routed to Gaza is merely a downpayment on the reparations due Gaza for its awful suffering and the need to rapidly rebuild infrastructure, such as greenhouses and rocket launchers. Mostly rocket launchers and torture cells for members of Fatah.
Along the same lines, the administration could find Charles Manson a valuable line extension of its strategy of engaging fresh thinkers in its efforts to rebuild America in its time of crisis. He lived through the 1960s, he recognizes the sins of America and he isn't afraid to break eggs to make an omelette, so to speak.
So, what could Charles Manson do with $900 million? I envision him building bridges, contributing to a frank national conversation on drug legalization and other cool topics, supporting community-building organizations, maybe building some underground bunkers, maybe getting some Kassam rockets and blasting away at Jewish neighborhoods. He could go on a listening tour of Gaza and instruct Hamas on the finer arts of surprising and dealing with pigs and members of the bourgeoisie.
The details will fall into place. The main point is to get those dollars to where they can do some good.

"A billion here, a billion there. After a while, you're talking about real money." By the Dirksen dicta, we're not talking about 'real money' yet. I guess the wisdom of the Jewish voter was to choose the 'good cop' in relation to Iran. If that works out, all will be forgiven. If not, the rest of us might see the Jewish voter as participating in a secret conspiracy to take over heaven.
